Kristen is also a newlywed, having married Dano Gruen in October 2009. Dano met Kristen when he hired her for a customer service position with a tour operator in Flagstaff, and although the jobs didn’t work out for either of them, the romance certainly did. Dano and Kristen share their home with four (permanent) cats and a revolving door of foster kittens. Kristen has been in Arizona since 2006 – the part of Arizona that has snow, not cacti!
A huge fan of technology in general, Kristen is particularly enamored of all things Mac or Apple. This appreciation for beautiful design carries over into her love of the written word and a penchant for the visual arts, especially painting. Kristen is honored to be participating in the GSE program and is looking forward to demonstrating Rotary ideals during this visit to Australia!
